Yesterday was our weekly movie day and this time round, we watched Red Cliff (part 1)! What a nice movie with breathtaking setting, a fantastic cast (with all the handsome actors =p) and a wonderful plot!
Initially, I thought I wouldn't enjoy it as much since I was not into the Chinese history & I know nuts about it. Ah Lum was the one who's very clear of these history stuffs as it has always been his area of interest...However, the show was really exciting & funny, so much so that I truly focused on every scenes of the movie faithfully!
I believe it's necessary for one to possess a lil wee bit of history background so as to fully capture the true essence of this movie =) Fortunately, Ah Lum provided me some quick pre-requisites about the Han Dynasty. I must say, this movie (& Ah Lum) has sort of aroused my interest towards the Chinese history and hopefully, by the time I watch part 2, I need no more explanations from Ah Lum! =)
